Wedding at the Old North Rushford Church
No one is quite sure of the last time wedding vows were exchanged in the old North Rushford Church, but Easter of 2010 ushered in a new era for that venerable structure. Benjamin Frank and Elizabeth Schlaupitz were joined in matrimony on April third of this year on the altar of the 150 year old church in the presence of about 85 friends and family members.
Benjamin is the son of Michael and Jennifer Frank, and the grandson of Charles Foote. Charles and Jennifer are the new owners of the North Rushford Church, which they have renamed The Gathering Space. Charles and Jennifer are hopeful that many others will follow in Benjamin and Elizabeth’s footsteps, and say their vows in those beautiful, historic surroundings.
The Rushford Church building has been lovingly refurbished at the skillful hands of local contractors David Ostwald and John Rabe, who updated and repaired where needed, but remained extremely respectful of the building’s history and character . Seckar Electric Company, MCM Air of Winneconne, and GRP Plumbing also had a hand in the makeover of the North Rushford Church.
The Gathering Space will hold its Grand Opening on Saturday, May 15, from 12:30 to 4:30 pm. Join the new owners for Food, Music, and the chance to experience The Gathering Space first hand. All who attend will be given the opportunity to enter a drawing to win a free one day rental of The Gathering Space.
